DrivePool Terms of Service
Welcome to DrivePool. By using our application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DrivePool, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using this service.
2. Description of Service
DrivePool is a carpool coordination application designed to help families organize transportation for youth sports activities. The service integrates with TeamSnap and provides tools for scheduling drives, managing carpool groups, and communicating with other pool members.
3. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about themselves and their family members
- Ensuring safe driving practices when participating as a driver
- Maintaining appropriate insurance coverage for their vehicle
- Communicating promptly about schedule changes or cancellations
- Treating all pool members with respect and courtesy
4. Fees, Subscriptions, and Billing
Parts of DrivePool are free to use. We may also offer paid features or subscription plans. Where we do, the name of the plan, what it includes, its price, and its billing period are shown in the app before you buy, and you are never charged without confirming the purchase. Prices are shown in your local currency where the app store supports it, and exclude taxes unless stated otherwise.
Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by DrivePool, and are also governed by that store's terms. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price of the renewal term. If we change the price of a plan, we will tell you in advance and the new price will not take effect until your next renewal — the app store will ask you to confirm the new price before charging it.
Managing and cancelling. You can view your subscription, turn off automatic renewal, or cancel at any time in your account settings with the app store you purchased from — Settings on your Apple device, or the subscriptions section of Google Play. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to the end of the term you already paid for, and DrivePool cannot cancel or refund a store subscription on your behalf.
Free trials. If we offer a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you turn off automatic renewal before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription to that plan.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, and requests must go to the store you purchased from. This does not limit any refund or cancellation right you have under applicable consumer protection law, including Canadian consumer protection legislation.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. If you delete your DrivePool account while a subscription is active, you must also cancel it with the app store, or the store will continue to bill you. See our account deletion page.
DrivePool does not display third-party advertising and does not sell your personal information. See our Privacy Policy.
5. Limitation of Liability
DrivePool is a coordination tool only and does not provide transportation services. DrivePool is not responsible for any incidents, accidents, or damages that may occur during carpooling activities arranged through the app. Users participate in carpools at their own risk.
6. Privacy
Your use of DrivePool is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
7. Modifications to Service
DrivePool reserves the right to modify or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice. We also reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
8. Account Termination
DrivePool may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings, or by submitting a request on our account deletion page.
